Grant’s kit has been claimed as being the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. It’s also been likened to being more of an Artistic work than a drum set. Besides the central hihat stands being cut and shortened, the kit comprises of all standard stock parts. Grant has used a creative design for the integration of many percussion voices for both the hands and the feet, which can be used interchangeably. While doing his solo shows on the mega kit, Grant is also comfortable playing on a standard drum kit for gigs, recordings and drum clinics.
